Amsterdam
W decided to spend a few days in Amsterdam, before flying home, and I'm so glad we did. It's a far more interesting city than I had realized, and more beautiful too. Have you ever wondered why so many buildings are tall and narrow in Amsterdam? It's because at one time, the owners were taxed on street frontage, and so, they did their darndest to build as narrow a building as possible.
